Director and Producer
In 1967, a mining company applied to dredge Ellison Reef for coral rubber and sand. What happened next became a defining moment in Australian conservation – ultimately leading to the creation of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and AMCS.
Ellison: The Reef That Saved Them All traces a moment in Australian history where ordinary people spoke up and changed everything, leading to the creation of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Now, nearly 60 years on, a new generation of reef stewards has returned to repeat the original survey.
I produced and directed this 25-minute film for the Australian Marine Conservation Society to help re-ignite the public's motivation to protect the Great Barrier Reef.
